With students now using AI to write papers, you might be thinking that having them write reflective essays might be a good way to adapt. Maybe not. According to this study (and it's just one small study so let's not jump to conclusions) an AI can not only write a reflective essay, it can do a better job of it than most students. "ChatGPT is capable of generating high-quality reflections, outperforming student-written reflections in all the assessment criteria." Also, "we identified that human evaluators could not accurately differentiate ChatGPT-generated reflections from students-generated reflections."
