CanCore Release New Metadata Guidelines

Last week was a productive week for CanCore as four new guidelines were released (presumably in support of, and therefore necessarily prior to, the release of the CANARIE funding program announced yesterday). Last week, as they are all dated April 17, or maybe last Friday, when the CETIS article announced the launch of "two new documents", or maybe today, as all four documents bear "last saved April 23" stamps. As Scott Wilson writes, "The guidelines provide developers and cataloguers working to the CanCore profile with detailed information on how to use particular metadata elements." The four documents currently on the site (who knows what will be there tomorrow) are: Cancore Guidelines for the General Element Group, CanCore Guidelines for the Lifecycle Element Group, CanCore Guidelines for the Metametadata Element Group, and CanCore Guidelines for the Technical Element Group. All in MS Word format.
