When I was younger most of what we today call 'computational thinking' was covered in the discipline known as 'logic'. It was basically imposssible to convince schools to teach it. But students who knew it scored well on SATs, so the good schools made sure students had the basics. A good grounding in logic will enable students to draw inferences, calculate probabilities, work with categories, and master abstraction and representation - all core concepts of computer science. Researchers will find the included list of studies and resources useful.
