MOOC.me
June 5, 2012
Commentary by Stephen Downes
Brand new website dedicated to MOOCs. Sponsored by Blackboard. "MOOC.me lists your already-created MOOC, or help you create and then list one if you need help. This is a service of Classroom 2.0 and Web 2.0 Labs." In other words it duplicates exactly the function of mooc.ca (which, I confess, I have been lacking in managing).

Re: MOOC.me

Not sponsored by Blackboard, just using Classroom 2.0's capabilities to use Blackboard Collaborate to provide a way to let people start their own if the synchronous platform piece is what they need. While I did work for Elluminate (and then Blackboard after the acquisition), they did away with my job early this year and I'm now independent.
I didn't see the front page listing service at mooc.ca, and am glad to defer to / point people to there for the listings. Cheers, Steve [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]

I do not like all these funny MOOCs.
MOOC means to me
Top education
by top schools
at small fee
online
a degree at the end
Rest is gimick.
MITX is on the right track. [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
