Twitter Aladdin
Claudia Ceraso, ELT notes, July 16, 2007.

Yes I created a Twitter account. Purely by coincidence. I needed the account to fill out by Ning Edubloggers profile. But don't expect much in the way of tweeting. I don't see Twitter as being even remotely convenient to use (it behaves like Ning and Facebook and Explode and all the rest - it tells me something has happened (a message, a follower, whatever) and then I have to go to the site to find out what it was... sigh). Re: Twitter Aladdin

I've just started playing with Twitter, and so far it seems to me that the google chat (jabber) and mobile phone integrations are the key components to using it.

It's very easy for me to post an IM to my twitter account from Google chat which I always have running, and it's very easy to receive notifications of other people's updates on my phone.

Re: Twitter Aladdin Sane

I receive your newsletter as email
If I click on a link in the newsletter it takes me to a repeat of what I just read in the mail (not even to your site!!!) so you tell me something has happened and then I have to "go to the site". Is there a difference?
I have the same feeling about twitter, the name says it all, or maybe that is just a UK English thing. Mind you, in the early morning, I love twittering, which, similiarly perhaps says, I am here, I exist, it is good to be here...
I prefer however to be able to manage the presence of others on my screen myself. So I prefer not to get involved with twitter.
I sometimes wonder if Twitter isnt just an elaborate practical joke. Do people want to be that connected? Are we that anxious? [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]

You can use TwitterFox if you like, there are many Twitter Plugins for Firefox. [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
