'Shadow Libraries' are very unoffocial repositories of books, articles and other content. They sites like Anna's Archive, Z-Library, Sci-Hub, and Library Genesis (LibGen). This site allows you to "search the Shadow Libraries catalog by title, author, ISBN, or identifier while keeping direct access to mirrors, torrent packs, Telegram bots, and reading portals." Because these sites have a dubious legal status, their resource services and URLs tend to move around a lot. Hence the need for a Shadow Library Uptime Monitor (SLUM), discussion of which in the last couple of days on Mastodon motivated this post.
