Anthropic gave me access to a preview of Fable until July 7 (I still have to pay for it, and I have no idea how they could do it, but whatever) so I used it to create the ideal mobile app for gRSShopper, which I'm using now. Cost me less than $20. Anyhow, in my request I asked Fable to offload mundane tasks to cheaper models. There's no evidence it did. But it leads to the idea of 'model routing', where you send specific tasks to the best model to do them (hint: don't trust Fable to do this). This article describes a number of model routing options and talks about the concept in general.
