I'm not sure I agree with this but it's definitely worth passing along. Martin Dougiamas offers a perspective on what he defines as two types of AI, based on two different processes, specifically, work and learning: "work: when your goal is a high-quality output and your focus is on efficiency," and "learning: when your goal is a high-quality process your focus must be on the brain's effort and struggle." Now I have long been a proponent of blending work and learning together, and this analysis would seem to preclude that. But I don't think the two modes are actually contraries. High quality process includes high quality output, and efficiency includes effort and struggle. At least, that's what we will see more and more in the future, then simple repetitive work is all done by machines.
