One driver of change: the regulators, who are finally pushing back against the tech giants. Another is the plethora of social networks following the demise of X/Twitter. Dash also points to "the people who had been quietly keeping the spirit of the human, personal, creative internet alive are seeing a resurgence now that the web is up for grabs again."
