According to the chief executive of Reed Elsevier, "The rise of open access publishing of scientific research could jeopardise the entire academic publishing industry." But if you ask me, if an industry is threatened by me sharing something I created with other people, then this industry is already on a very shaky foundation and probably doesn't merit special measures needed to prop it up.
