This is one of those images that is destined to become apocryphal over time, much like that 'learning machine' photo or the 'giant chalkboard' photo. This link is to some PR in Stanford Magazine; there's more about it in this LinkedIn post (may be spamwalled). It's a "a 32-foot by 8-foot 'videowall' in Wallenberg Hall (and) divided the students in Ethics, Public Policy and Technological Change into three simultaneous Zoom sessions." To me it's more publicity stunt than practical innovation, but it goes to show what you can do when your institution has money to burn.
