Joshua Kim argues that "even if there are no current plans to expand online offerings in, say, a core undergraduate residential program, my recommendation is to still design those face-to-face courses for online delivery. Each and every single one." Why? He offers four reasons. First, the ability to move online support resilience in general. Second, students are looking for the flexibility of in-person and online offerings. Third, designing courses for online delivery increases their quality. And fourth, online delivery often supports extension courses. These are pretty good reasons overall.
