As this article relates, catching WiFi internet access in a parking lot is a way of life for many students now. I can relate; these days my internet access is pretty secure, but in earlier years and when I traveled I would find internet access anywhere I could find it. It helped a lot that in Canada there were Community Access Points and internationally there were cybercafes. I think that if we're learning anything from the current crisis, it's how important internet access is as a basic service for everyone, and also, how unequal internet access is for people today.
