I would imagine that at some point this will be made illegal, because it interferes with business profits. The method, in a nutshell, is to have multiple people simultanmeously use the same Instagram account (the simultanaeity is key, because otherwise the algorithm can still extract individual users from the contextual data). "I love that the younger generation is thinking along these lines, but it bothers me when we have to come up with these strategies to avoid being tracked. She shouldn't have to have these psyop [psychological operations] networks with multiple people working to hide her identity from Instagram."
