The newly elected Conservative government in Ontario is rolling back the 2015 sex-ed curriculum being taight in the province to something developed back in the previous century. So contemporary topics such as sexual consent, online bullying, sexting, same-sex marriage, gender identity and masturbation will not be covered. However,Nadine Thornhill, a sexuality educator in Toronto, is offering an online alternative. "I'm going to be teaching so that teachers, or even parents who want to share this information at home, will have an example of how to do that and they'll have access to all of the information," she said. As of today, her GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $12,000. The CBC article very coyly doesn't link to her GoFundMe page - but I will. Here it is.
