Excellent article on the shape of assessment to come. Much of my thinking has been running along these lines as well. "The Embedded Assessment paradigm does away with tests and instead, via Learning Analytics, uses the data produced during the learning process as a basis for providing feedback and guidance to learners, teachers and parents."
