To Cornwall and Back

Commentary by Stephen Downes

After sending yesterday's newsletter I flew to Montreal and drove to Cornwall, arriving in the freezing rain around 1:30 in the morning. This morning I gave two presentations, one - Web 2.0, E-learning 2.0 and the New Learning - online using WebX to the Learning Technologies Conference at Olympia 2, London. The photo above is the view from my window of the St. Lawrence River as I gave that presentation. Then I went downstairs and gave a keynote address - The Reality of Virtual learning - to the Canadian Defence Academy's DNDLearn Conference at the NavCan conference facility. Follow the links for slides and audio. If you've listened to my talks before the content will be familiar (I need to add new slides and explore new concepts) though I thing the articulation is getting better with each talk. So anyhow, today's newsletter is a bit short.
