Blogosphere: the emerging Media Ecosystem

Really good article about the flow of news through what may be called the blogosphere, the space where personal online journalists kick a news story around, digging for new informatikon, adding commentaries, and importantly, correcting misapprehensions. At my keynote today I was asked how a distributed netowrk of learning object repositories could act against systematic misinformation being propogated in educational materials. Great question! Once which forces us to look at whether misinformation is propogated under the current system, and to realize that there are no real checks or balances today. We need a distributed system, in part, to allow for a distributed assessment of learning materials. This article describes how it works in practice.
