Tom Hoffman is performing a useful service by setting up a 'grey list' of sites (including this one) that ought not be filtered by school filtering systems, but which are nonetheless filtered. You can check the filtering policies at your own institution by running the Python script he is beta testing. Will Richardson comments, "Teacher and student Internet access at home in this district is nearly 100 percent. Does it really make sense to block literally hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of potentially worthwhile, safe, educational sites with the flip of a switch when those same sites are being accessed from home?"
