REST stands for 'Representative State Transfer' and is like web services on the cheap; it's a way to easily transfer structured information from one online application to another. Rails is a website framework that I have written about recently. Put the two together and you have REST on Rails. Mostly for geeks; pass on this one if you didn't like my Ruby on Rails stuff.
