This study looks at the feasibility of providing high bandwidth internet connectivity to Australian schools using fibre optics. Cost is a major factor, as there does not appear to be a suitable commercial model to provide this service. The study looked at initiatives in Canada, Sweden and the United States (summarized in Appendix 4). A second study tailored to the Australian context, is proposed.
