Amusing article describing the pitfalls of being an online student. What's interesting is the way artifacts from traditional learning - prework exercises with a strict deadline, scheduled class meeting times - do not work for people trying to learn from home or work. Remove the urgency of time constraints from this story and you get a very different picture (but if you must attend a synchronous class, don't wait for the last minute to get your headset).
