Summary of a recent Gartner Group report outlining major trends in online learning. But you have to feel Gartner is capable of better insight than this, as they blithely tell us that e-learning is expanding, governments are investing and various forms of corporate e-learning are on the rise. The one prediction of note is that "Hosted e-learning will offer alternative infrastructure," a prediction which has some merit but attracts a certain amount of scepticism.
