Interesting post on Canadian contributions to open source GIS (geographical information service) software. It pleases me to see Canadians as involved promoting open source in that field as in our own. And it is interesting to see the speculation at the end of the article regarding the reason Canada - and not, say, the United States - has taken the lead here.
