Edutopia News summarizes: "teachers in schools and districts throughout the country will voluntarily power down their computers as part of the first Technology Blackout Day, sponsored by the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA). The purpose of the day, sponsors say, is to encourage students and teachers alike to consider the impact technology has had on their lives and on our nation." No word on whether car-free day is being planned as well.
