Accounts are free (there is some advertising and an upgrade to a subscription version) and the system is apparently used by thousands of people. I spent some time learning how to make fire and catch shrimp - essential survival skills in this world. Watch how the game leads you along, never pressuring, but always there to guide you. Nice.
