Knowledge, Learning, Community

When I was in grade five I participate in my first public speaking competition. I won for the whole school, even defeating the grade 8 students. I would win five times over seven years, and this experience and exposure served me well through life. As did my time on Reach for the Top, on the debating team, in Model Parliament and Commonwealth, and more. I also participated in art projects at the Metcalfe Fair. There are opportunities for student writers and more, and if they're overlooked, it is not the fault of the schools, it is the fault of media reporting on schools, who have no interest in such things.
