I hope Athabasca gets through this and thrives. People don't always realize that Athabasca is widely viewed as a great example of Canadian innovation. My time with Athabasca was a valuable experience, and being associated with it has opened many doors for me. Having said that, I note that the more Athabasca became like a traditional university, the less sustainable it became. This was always its lesson, and why it was such a good model for the future.
