Welcome to My PLE!
wdrexler, YouTube, June 4, 2010.

"A 7th grade student gives a tour of her personal learning environment. This project was conducted as part of dissertation research implementing the use of networked learning and construction of personal learning environments in a 7th grade life science class." And me, a 50 year-old NRC researcher, trying to do this... heh. Posted by wdrexler (is that Wendy Drexler) This is, by the way, a great screencast. Via Harold Jarche. Re: Welcome to My PLE!

This is very impressive, not only from the PLE and appropriate uses of technology standpoint, but also because the young lady is articulate and knows how to deliver a great presentation!

We can all learn tons from this.

Re: Welcome to My PLE!

Thanks so much for the comment. Yes, it's Wendy. This is a student from the dissertation research project. She was one of 100 who participated, 2 who were observed in great detail. All were equally amazing. The students used Symbaloo because it was the only tool with terms of service that allowed children under 13 to sign up for an account. We obtained written parent permission as part of the IRB process. All of this great work in spite of network admin challenges, tight filtering, and very tired equipment. As you know, I believe the possibilities are endless!!
