Phil barker comments on my short Resource Profiles paper. He comments, "One thing I'd like to see demonstrated is how you link all the information together. The same resource is going to be identified differently in different systems, and sometimes not at all." Quite so, and this is exactly what I'm working on now. But I think it's important to keep in mind that you don't need one universal system of identification - you only need a system for the resources you access (who cares, really, about the rest?) and it needs only to work for you. We each see the world in our own way, and this applies, as well, to the identification of objects.
