I agree with this post: we pay so much for access now, why should we pay more for content? The first-year cost of a 3G iPad $1,189 - this is before any money has been spent at all on content. In what sense, ask users, is the content they receive over the internet "free"? My connection expenses are similar to the author's: "high-speed home connection is valued at $54.99 a month, my land line is priced at $39.99 a month, my extended digital cable package is $89.99" (my numbers are only a little different). Now I'm supposed to pay for content on top of that? Here's a better idea: the telcos, cable companies and hardware vendors can pay for the content.
