A librarian makes the case that Google's book scanning project has very poor metadata (which means it will be the subject of work by scholars for generations correcting the errors created by Google's frantic mass book scan). The case isw well-made, and where else would we find such a scathing indictment of all things electronic but in the Chronicle?
