Re: Contest
Hi Stephen
I was of two minds when you advertised the "contest". I agree with one of the commenters before; I subscribe to find out "what Stephen Downes" is commenting on. I have others that I read as well.
My other thought was - it might be a good opportunity to hear a different perspective.
I'm sure your subscribers will be happy with what ever you choose to do - as long as you enjoy your break :-) [Comment]

Re: Contest
Stephen, I can't imagine your readers wanting a watercolour version of OLDaily, so I will withold any submissions. Thanks for the opportunity! [Comment]

Re: Contest
That last "anymouse" was me. It seemed to lose my login between logging in & accidentally going via the home page rather than selecting the "Go back to where you came from" link. [Comment]

Re: Contest
Like Karyn, I wouldn't feel in any way up to the task! It's a good idea, and i'm sure that there are some talented people out there (personally, from what I've read, I'd have thought that you'd have done fine, Karyn!) - though perhaps not everyone got the chance to read this message (though I guess the short lead time was good to ensure that people are on the ball & reading things!), and/ or they know how busy they're going to be in the next 4 weeks! (Guess we're going to cross mid atlantic, Stephen, as I'm off to Montreal mid July for a conference) [Comment]

There is no way I'd offer - I feel inadequate to the task! [Comment]

Re: Contest
The contest is a great idea, but a bit daunting. I can't imagine filling your shoes with your daily summaries and excellent insights. It's worth giving another try sometime, perhaps with more lead-time...

Re: Contest
I wanted to make a submission, but I don't have an established internet presence. I understand why you made that a qualification, but maybe you should reconsider. [Comment]

Re: Contest
Perhaps the rules were too rigid. I'd be willing to try the OLDaily thing for a bit.
Cheers;
