I signed up for the Second Life Educators mailing list and it paid off in one day, as Gunnar Schwede posts this link. "This service allows you convert a Flash Video / FLV file (Youtube's movie,etc) to MPEG4 (AVI/MOV/MP4/MP3/3GP) file online." Even better, When you submit an url, it will download and convert to the video format. Then you can download the converted file. The the Flash Video to MPEG 4 converter is open source. Have you checked out Zamzar ? This site offers the same function as Vixy PLUS it gives you more output formats for your video (13 in all) AND allows you to upload documents, music and images from your PC for conversion into different formats as well. converting flv files

The simplest way I have found to convert them is not to convert at all but just to change the file extensions. This works with the save tube site -at least for me. Take your save tube getvideo.flv file and change it to getvideo.avi or getvideo.wmv

zamzar does not support ASFF, and neither does it send you your file quickley.

This vixy, is such a talented online softawre which will be used so easily, also it has the specail quality button, which changes and corrects some vicious parts and not clear parts.
I believe Zamzar is good again for this is a superb online tool taht accepts most of the file transmitter such as you tube. However reading the comment above, i realized that it does not support ASFF.
i hope there is an online software for this, does any one know? Please help me
