Distance-Educator.Com

Apr 25, 2002

Distance-Educator.Com rolls out a much improved site today, a vast improvement on the daily list of learning links they have been providing. The site now has link archives sorted by category, lists of the most popular items, a feedback mechanism, RSS feeds and more. It looks like they're planning a discussion area, but I couldn't find it. I still think that the site should expand its coverage beyond press releases and Chronicle articles, and I still think that the author should actually write the link (instead of summarizing via cutting and pasting from the original article). I still dislike the system whereby you visit an intermediate page before accessing the cited link (two intermediate pages now, if you use the email newsletter). But that said, there is a lot to like about the new look.
