Pretty nice example of news aggregation via Alan Levine. What should be noted is that not only do news items come from a variety of sources, the service also integrates different media types, including weather and photos. An instance of the sort of environment students should be offered (as opposed to, say, an institution-specific portal or LMS), the DailyRSS represents an incremental step forward.
