The jury's still out? I'm baffled. Perhaps I don't understand what you mean by "educate" themselves? I was studying through correspondence courses of my own choosing as long ago as 1976 and I'm pretty sure what's available to the self-motivated learner in 2010 is vastly superior to those pen and paper days.
