Golden Swamp goes big picture with Handscooling.com

I am still trying to find the difference between "handschooling" and "homeschooling" and figure the former is just one of those types of rebranding we see so often in the consulting community. (Hits Today: 1 Total: 3)

Re: Golden Swamp goes big picture with Handscooling.com
Hi Stephen, and thanks for taking a look at my new handschooling.com blog. What "handschooling" is supposed to mean is being able to be schooled in knowledge from a mobile device a student can own, carry in a pocket, and use in his or her hand -- portable, not confined only to a classroom. In my way of thinking that is quite different than "homeschooling" which implies staying home from school and learning there.
I have also raised a point in my "equality" section on the new blog that makes handschooling liberating for kids experiencing what Kozol called savage inequalities. A device in a youngster's hand does not have any expectations about the student who owns it. The teacher may expect the child to fail because of her background, but the hand device will deliver the same OER to her as to the richest boy at Exeter through the internet browsing hand device he uses.
Anyway, I may have more luck attracting readers with handschooling than with GoldenSwamp -- since the latter has been probably too philosophical.
