I read quite a bit of John Pollock over the years - the books that made the most impact on me were Knowledge and Justification and Contemporary Theories of Knowledge. Here's his bio and his home page (which is overloaded as of this writing). I can't think of a better tribute than to link to this page, which contains a link to his Logic: An Introduction to the Formal Study of Reasoning, published online and free for all to read and learn.
