Defining Noncommercial report published
Since the subject of the meaning of the 'non-commercial' clause in Creative Commons licenses has come up fairly frequently in these pages, this study is a useful addition to the discussion. "Overall, our NC licenses appear to be working rather well - they are our most popular licenses and we are not aware of a large number of disputes between licensors and licensees over the meaning of the term."
