For some reason, the philosophy community's 'year' appears to end on Labour day (first Monday in September). That says more about philosophers than I would like. Anyhow, for those of you who like the end-of-year "best-of" lists, here are two: nominees for the 3 Quarks Daily best philosophical blog post of the year, and the Philosopher's Annual ten Best philosophy papers of the year. Plenty of grist for the mill; let's see if I can find some time this year to read and write some philosophy.
