Nibipedia

This is interesting. The creators of this site have taken TED videos, associated time stamps with them, and associated Wikipedia pages with the time stamps. The list of pages is displayed as a set of icons below the video. You can use their 'nibs' or you can add nibs of your own. It does make videos - especially talking head videos - more interesting. I spent twenty minutes watching the Tierney Thys presentation on oceans. Via Maria Droujkova, on the WikiEducators mailing list. Various Authors, Website, January 19, 2009. Re: Nibipedia

Hi there,

Thank you for mentioning Nibipedia! Actually, we're adding new content all of the time, the TED was just a starting point. Also, we're looking for educators for our beta test. The beta testers will be able to add videos that they like from Youtube.

Re: Nibipedia

Tell me more about the beta testers. I have an educator blog at http://imtravelin.blogspot.com where you can read about some of my current classroom activities. I am subbing now but will be full-time teaching in an American-style International School next year. [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
