Hellodeo
I'm not sure whether this will work - but I'll certainly give it a try. This is a test recording from a n ew service from the people at Odeo: Hellodeo. So, try clicking on the video, and let me know how it came out (and let me know if you read this post on email, RSS, the web, or whatever). And if you couldn't see it, you can always view the video here. Stephen Downes, Stephen's Web, July 19, 2006. [Link] [Tags: Macromedia, RSS, Audio, Gaming, Video] [Previous][Next]

Hi Stephen! I watched you via the Web using Firefox browser. A great tool! Will check it out right after I post this comment. What marvelous potential~I am already counting the ways I can use it in my online class for 9th graders! Linda-TX [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
Re: Learning and 'the real world'.
Dear Stephen, You said:- 'I mean, let's look at this another way. Millions of people, working with no instruction at all, have managed to learn and master complex simulations and game-based online environments, and to transfer this knowledge to the real world.' My questions:- 1. What do you mean by instruction? 2. What do you mean by the 'real world'? This is not connected to 'Hellodeo' but was the first place I could find to contact you. Best wishes, barbara Woolner [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]

Used the link from the RSS feed. Loaded and ran no problem, and I can't even run the vids on my own blog in the office! [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
Re: Hellodeo
Works fine in your blog. Doesn't work in my aggregator (Sage, a Firefox extension): "Loading..." appears but nothing else happens. Same behaviour on my 2 PCs (one running Windows98, the other Windows2000). [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]

Re: Hellodeo
I read your e-mail newsletter. I could see it fine on the "here" link. It was not on hellodo. I tried to make one but it would not submit. Thanks for your research. [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
Re: Hellodeo
It worked perfectly, no hitches nothing, and being in South Africa that says a lot about the software. Nico Baird [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]

Had to click on the alternate link but then it worked well - I also use Firefox because of your recommendations in Cairns a couple of years ago!! Thanks for another new tool. Susan [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
