NECC 2006: We Will Win

Tom Hoffman posts a lengthy reflection on NECC 2006 that has some funny bits, some sarcastic bits, and some hopeful bits. The overall message is that open source is "winning" in U.S. schools and that "Moodle is going thermonuclear in US K-12 education." I enjoyed is reaction to the NCLB booth: "The federal Department of Education had a booth, with nice NCLB logos. I say, 'Hulk SMASH!' But I clenched my jaw and kept walking..."
