AJAX RSS Display
Daniel Lemire, Daniel Lemire's blog, December 23, 2005.

Daniel Lemire sends this quick guide to using Ajax to embed RSS in your web page, with an example. Here's the example running my feed. Nice, except as usual you can only use it if both the RSS and the viewer are on the same site. Now if there were a Javascripty way to do this with scripts located on remote sites, that would be cool. Re: AJAX RSS Display

Just use Dreamweaver 8 and XSLT commnads to embed any RSS feed from anywhere, in any web page or PowerPoint slide. Jack [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]

Re: AJAX RSS Display

Sure, and I could do it in ten lines of Perl, too. But that's not the point - the idea is to do it without a server-side intervention. [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]

Re: AJAX RSS Display

Jack: yes Dreamweaver will do it "automagically", but what if you have a static web page? I suspect there is a *lot* of static content left on the web, and it won't go away. My home page is static HTML, and there is nothing wrong with it. Some pages are not meant to be interactive. [Comment] [Permalink] [Previous][Next]
