JotSpot Live: Live, Group Note-Taking

This is pretty neat: "JotSpot Live allows you, your colleagues or clients to take notes together on the same web page at the same time. Imagine everyone simultaneously typing and editing the same Microsoft Word document and you'll get the idea." Note also the nifty gVisit app on the right side of the page - it tracks where your visitors are from (it doesn't seem to recognize me, though). (Hits Today: Total: )

Re: JotSpot Live: Live, Group Note-Taking
JotSpot is great; I used the beta version as a container for a course I taught in the spring term. However the fantasy of everyone entering at the same time is still a fantasy. As some of my students discovered last spring and as reported on TechCrunch, http://www.techcrunch.com/2005/09/27/jotspot-live-the-perfect-wiki/ -
"It’s not perfect. Brian Benzinger (who also writes about JotSpot Live here) and I are editing a page right now and he’s found a bug that occurs when two users simultaneously edit text. We also noticed that if one person logs off and then back on, two separate versions of the wiki page seem to run and each person only sees themself as “present”."
The same post mentions the lack of image support, but Flickr easily compensates for that, as my students also demonstrated last spring. [Comment]
