"The reality is…" The use of 'reality' as a rhetorical device is the enemy of innovation Almost everything that we think is real is actually a construction of inferences and interpretations that we misinterpret as reality. And unfortunately, the belief that we are directly observing and understanding 'reality' discourages us from trying to change it. (There was a video on Google Video but it has vanished; if I find it in my archives I'll repost it).
