Abstract
Laut Johannes Sauer ist Innovation ohne lebenslanges Lernen undenkbar, und Innovation und lebenslanges Lernen stellen ihm zufolge zwei Seiten derselben Medaille dar. Es sei jedoch falsch, lebenslanges Lernen auf die Erwachsenenbildung zu reduzieren. Die Vorstellung „Weiterlernen gleich Weiterbildung und Weiterbildung als Wiederaufnahme organisierten Lernens nach einer ersten Bildungsphase“ (Sauer, in diesem Band) ist dabei zu eng gefasst.
