Emerging Technologies in E-Learning

This presentation runs through the concepts of learning objects, learning design, learning object standards and metadata, and then introduces eduSource by means of a discussion of repositories. It then covers RSS syndication and suggests an aggregation model for learning resource discovery and distribution. This leads to the concept of personalization in learning, with a look at emerging social networks. Finally, it covers the concept of learning environments. This was also the conference where I met Seymour Papert, and which formed much of the source material for my Educational Blogging article. Coverage here and here.
