Introduction or motivation activity.

How will you begin this class? There are four possible introductions.

  1. A review of yesterday’s lesson?
  2. An orientation introduction that introduces the topic to the learners.
  3. A transition introduction that is a transition from known or already covered material to new or unknown material
  4. An evaluation introduction evaluates previously learned material

List the sequence learner and instructor’s activities and the time allowed for each activity. Because you have listed the introduction in another part of this lesson plan, do not relist it here.

Content and/or concepts.

List all the content topics and/or concepts. Provide as much detail is there is space or as needed to remind you of the content you wish to cover. This is very important if you going to use this lesson plan for another time.

Lesson Summary Activity.

How are you going to finish this lesson? There are three possible summary activities:

  1. To draw attention to the end of a lesson or lesson segment.
  2. To help organize student learning.
  3. To consolidate or reinforce the major points to be learned.
